How Does It Work
The Hup e-mail checker validates emails remotely and has access
to our substantial data resources which store our accumulated
knowledge of all things email. Our
server based software is constantly evolving and can be updated
and improved without any modifications required by our clients.
We catch common errors including formatting, spelling, punctuation
and incomplete emails but our software also uses many algorithms
to suggest alternatives and corrections fed by our expanding
email knowledge database. We spot someone entering "bob at
btinter.net" and suggest "bob@btinternet.com" to
him. We talk to the appropriate email servers and validate the
user.
We cannot catch every bad email address but we do catch over
90% of duff ones and, more importantly, we suggest to your
customers what that email might be or what else may be wrong.
Think your software already does what Hup does?
Try entering howie22@bahoo.com as an email address in your web
site or any of the incorrect email addresses listed on our home
page. Chances are your site will accept them all - but they
are all invalid!
Platforms and Requirements
The Hup email checker has to have internet access to perform
its task. There is currently no 'stand alone' version.
A central validation server means the client website requires
minimal changes to integrate our software - typically only a
handful of lines of code.
Integration in your web site is quick and simple - we have
various simple APIs to suit your individual needs.
